*Writing Goal Update*
Quick review for those of you just tuning in: Last week I figured out I was running late WAY late for the date I set to finish my book. Late as in I needed to write at least 30,000 words in 7 days. That, was Thursday. Today is Thursday. One week. It's over...almost.
Here's my goal: 30,000+ words
Here's what I have as of Wednesday night: 28, 909 words.
Good news the day isn't over yet and I can easily reach 30,000. I am SUPER excited about this.
More good news. The actual date I need to be completely done is FRIDAY according to my deadline, that is the 15th of October and the day I need to have my novel D.O.N.E. done.
Here's the deal: I need another 10-15,000 words to make that happen.
Can I do it?
I don't know.
Will I try?
ABSOLUTELY.
Revised goal: finish book by Friday
Words to write: ?
Have you ever set goals for yourself that are so high you really don't know if you can make it? Do you thrive with the challenge or wilt under the pressure? Do you have any ideas who came up with the phrases Holy Cow or Sweet Corn? Let me know in the comments!

i set goals that are way out of reach all the time. i drive myself crazy! seriously, why do we do these things to ourselves?
the best part about goals is that they can always be adjusted! just remember that.
keep pressing forward. you can do it!
Yowza!!! Good luck! Remember that sometimes it is healthier to fail than to succeed-- that is, don't give yourself carpal tunnel trying to make that deadline, because it is not worth losing the PHYSICAL ability to type!
That being said, if your wrists are holding up just fine: GO GO GO GO GO! YOU CAN DO IT!
Oh my gosh Bethany!!! That is super awesome! =D I'm doing my super embarrassing happy dance for you!!!
I push myself to do better, so I do well under pressure. And I had never heard of the phrase sweet corn, but I like it. I'm going to use it now! mwa ha ha =)
Go you! I'm 100% amazed - I just can't write that fast! You're doing awesome!
YOU CAN DO IT!!! Such a great goal--good luck!
